I know that it was half moline & half oliver . can any one tell me the anything about them ..the good the bad the ugly. What are they worth
ruff cond.

A pretty good tractor and today they are highly sought after by collectors. I know of two that were sold locally in the last ten years and all it took each time was a half hour for the previous owner to let it be known he was selling his G955.

They were a very dependable tractor. The only downside I've ever heard is that they are somewhat slow on the road because the Oliver rear end was designed for a 2400 RPM Waukesha engine and the 451 MM engine only turned 1800.

I have owned my G-955 since 1980 and it has been a very good tractor. When I bought it, I was also looking at a JD 4020. I've never regretted my decision. Mine is on LP and has been a very economical and trouble free tractor. The over-under 3-speed was not touched until over 6000 hours. The G-955 is my son's favorite MM that we own and I would say that it and the G-1355 were probably one of White's better decisions during the transition to White branded tractors.
