Gvi front end

I am wondering what would be the lightest front end I could put on my Gvi. I was told, I would be able to use a MM U front end on
 
Wide front? My lightweight has one made from sheet metal. My other two have G front ends, which are straight instead of arched, which lowers the nose a few inches. One of those looks like an I beam, and is lighter than a Gvi, but I don't know how much. The other is cast, like the stock one, just no arch.
