The R Family Reunion

I have found one of each variation of the r moline. They are all in the newer style sheet metal, have straight brake pedals, and have the correct prefixes on the serial numbers. The rtu is a 1950, the rts is a 1951, the rtn is a 1950, the rte is a 1951, and rti is a 1954. I've also got the lull loader for the rti, took off to replace seals and clutch. Someday I would like to get them all cleaned up and restored. Here are some pictures.

That's a nice set of R's you have there Greg. I had a "lineup" of two R's by my shed today, my 1940 square tank RTS and the neighbor's 1950 RTU. He brought it over to have me convert it to 12V. Sure starts nice now. They sure are fun little tractors to drive. Thanks for the pics.

I agree, they look good the way they are. Ive grown to appreciate unrestored originals more and more. They project a certain character of their own.

No such thing as a RTIL. There was a UTIL which was a UTI with a shuttle shift. Or maybe you are thinking of a RTI-M which was a military version of the RTI.
