Cary NC Minneapolis Moline/Avery

This tractor has been sitting in my dad's garage since the 80s. We would like to sell it but I am looking for more information first. We believe it to be an Avery model R/Minneapolis Moline model BF, serial number is R3932. I'm not sure of the year (1951?). Ran great till it was parked here in Cary NC.

According to bfavery.net by that serial number, it is a 1951 R. That does match the equipment on the tractor as most BFs made after the MM buyout had the MM hydraulic tank under the fuel tank, and yours does no have it. I bet yours has hydraulics in a rectangular box on the right side like my R.

As to the decals and paint, Lots of those tractors you find here in NC were re-painted and lettered for MM. I was told once that some of the MM dealers in South Carolina would refuse to work on an Avery unless it was re-painted Praire Gold and labeled MM. It would also make sense for the dealer to re-paint unsold older Avery inventory.

It does have a hydraulics box on the right side, you're correct. Thanks for the reply and information! I appreciate it.
