Ensign regulator

I have a 5 Star with most of an Ensign W regulator. I would like to replace it with a Century, however, there is an vacuum line from the
regulator to the carb. Where do I connect this to the Century? Thanks....

(or can I find another Ensign W)

Ensign is pretty much a thing of the past, and Century was sold to Impco, so if it's worth fixing you might as well update it too a Impco.

the century regulator will not work with the Ensign carb. you need a Beam 120 regulator to replace the Ensign. cheapest way is try to find a used century carb. best way is to replace both with Impco, you will get better perfomance.

May have part or parts you are looking for----will check this weekend----but best option is Impco ---Or I could give you name and addresses of places with some or all of parts / repair kits you might need --I KNOW that some are UNAVAILABLE ---as I have been running on propane for over 40 years and to me it is the BEST for many reasons. Use to run and final inspect M-5 and 97 MF and 705 & 706 to rail ship at MM Lake street.

Thanks. I rebuilt one a couple of years ago with good results, unfortunately this one is incomplete and has the water pipe cross-threaded into
the body. Fixable, if necessary, but too much time and money. A good Moline guy sold me a Century carb and regulator, that will bolt right on.
(same regulator as on my 900s). Once she is running, I'll know how much more $$$$ she will take to get to the field...
