MM M602 Plate on tranny

I have a MM M602 LP and on the bottom, kind of to the side there is a plate. I figure it was where the transfer case would attach had this unit been a 604. Anyway my question is did all the M602 tractors built come out with this plate, or did only a few come this way.

Thanks

Sounds like a 604 transfer case. Is there a serial number plate on the right side of the transmission case ?(under the brake pedals)

Yes it has a tag that says Model m602 and then lists the serial number which is #26600690. The plate where the transfer case would be has ten bolts holding the plate onto the transmission housing.

We have 3 M602's. 2 of them have the bolted on plates and the other one has the spot but is not machined for a plate or transfer case. They all say M602 on the serial tags.

I've only seen 3 602's up close but they all had the access plate for the MFWD though I've been told that they didn't all come this way
