How do you tell how much propane is left in the tank with this gauge?

there is a dip tube inside the tank that lines up with the long arm on the lever. with the lever up[as pictured] the dip tube is straight up. turn the knob in the middle counterclockwise a little ways while holding the lever straight up. turn the knob open enough that lp vapor blows out the hole that is on the side opposite the long lever. with the knob open slowly turn the long lever down. when the diptube reaches the propane liquid level in the tank lp liquid will blow out of the hole.the end of the lever will show the liquid level in the tank. 3 or 9 oclock is half full. 6 oclock is empty. 11 or 1 oclock is 90% full. that is all the fuller it should be if your not going to run the tractor for a while. turn the lever back to the top(as pictured) and when the liquid stops coming out close the knob in the center. this is called a spit gauge.
