Can one of you MM guys give me some idea of what this rig is worth? I was wanting to put it on craigs list to finance another tractor project that i'm about to do, but i'm not sure where to start the price on this rig. Its an industrial model Jet Star with a MM model SO sickle mower that will mow mow in any position. It has a 3 point hitch and NO PTO on the rear. Everything functions as it should.

To be an industrial, I don't see a heavy duty standard style front end. What are
you basing that one?

hi del. just the fact that there was never a hole machined in the case where the pto should be and that it had a cat 2 3 point hitch and power steering. i understand that you are the MM expert for most of the usa. i'de really be interested in your thoughts on this. serial number is 116500951 it that helps. while we're on the subject of this tractor, do you have a knife head and knife bar assembly with blades for this tractor if i decide to keep it? i'de love to have a spare if i keep it.

Probably not an industrial. The Big Mo's were the industrial tractors of that era. They had the same sheet metal, same engine, and the industrial front end (for a loader). Your tractor in running condition might be worth $1500-2000.

That serial number with an extra 1 in the front of it about thew me for a loop. A '50 model 335?? Nope a 165 prefix JetStar gas.

Well I don't know about expert. X is an unknown quantity and spurt is a drip under pressure.
Your front is a regular type E front. And that round circle under the Hyd. pump is where the PTO would extend from. The Jet tractor was a bare bones priced tractor, and the farmer could add only the items he wanted. PTO, Power Steering, 3-Point, Hyd, Power adj. wheels, weights, ect were all options.
I do have two of those mowers, but I don't know if I have any extra Sickles. I will have to check.
Your question on serial number has already been answered.
I think the $1500 - $ 2200 price range is about right, depending on condition of the engine, trans, and ampli-torq.
