Looking at a M5 diesel, runs and operates good, pretty straight sheet metal, has power steering,3pt hitch.I'm not real familar with MM.Is this a pretty good tractor normally? What would be a general price range? Its a narrow front BTW

I would think between $1800 in fair condition to $2500, at least, in good condition. I have a couple of M5 gasoline models. They are handy tractors with a narrow front.

An M5 is a very good tractor all round. The diesel was a brute to start if it was cold. Very entertaining to start cold, the smoke, the hammering, etc. Once warm they run so nice you wouldn't know it was a diesel. You can work the guts out of it to the point where you'd think it couldn't take any more; then do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and so on.

I have a 1962 M5 diesel that I bought and never used . I was going to pull her but changed my mind so she is all stock with updated 670 fenders . Cold and sitting for a long time she is hard to start, but after constant use she starts up good. My bottom price would start at 300 since she is in real good shape and minies are rare up here in northern ont.
