I am trying to widen the front wheels on g955. Will not budge. Have tried penetrating oil. Then heat. Pressured with hydraulic jack. Will not budge. Any ideas?

I was going to try doing that on my G950. I had a bracket on the drawbar that I needed straightened so I had it in to town and they set the wheels in as well. Good thing as he even had a time doing it. Think he used a port-a-power. Went back and forth for a while until it moved. Took them all the way out and then cleaned them off and put them back in.

Get the axle to twist in the tube. Knock it back and forth at the spindle with a sledge hammer. This usually works for me but its still a lot of work to get it to rotate enough to loosen. No heat, just penetrating oil.

I've not seen the front axle of a G955 to know exactly what you have that is frozen, but on the old JD 6030 we couldn't get the rear wheels to budge one bit, until we had the bright idea to take it out in the field with the tightening bolts loose - and the wedge "push" bolts tight - and we stood on one brake and then the other cutting doughnuts, etc... We finally took it down the bar-ditch along the road horsing the brake around a little with the tractor at a sideways angle and after about 20 minutes, it finally broke loose...
