Came across an odd 2655. It has Oliver serial tag but is painted red. It has no Oliver decals. Says White on side and has White emblem(wfe)in grill but has MM decal on rear. It is close to last of production in 1972.

Oliver tag on chassis. MM decal painted over.It is a 585.

Looks like the lettering off the 2-150 or 4-150 on the side. Maybe they were experimenting with the new look like the silver ones came out with ahead of those models being produced. Or else someone added them later to the old hood to make it look more modern.

I would think that someone added the nameplates. The one on the front grill would not have been available til the 80's. The White 150 was made until 1975.

The nameplates were available in 1974 when 4-150 was released. This tractor by serial was made in Sept-Oct of 1972. Quite possible it is original.

I was in North Dakota in the 80's and came across what looked like a factory white 4-150! Although it looked like a mm a4t-1600. After stopping in and looking at it it was mechanically an a4t-1600 diesel mm on the inside all painted yellow with world finest tractors emblem in steering wheel but silver on the outside as a white 4-150. I wish I could find my pictures! Was told a week later it was traded for a 8 bottom plow!

I'd to also say someone added the white emblems, never seen one that had them on it, don't see many a4ts or 2655s to start with really there around but there's not tons of them I'd like to have one, would really like the 800 in one someday.

The side emblems are the same as on a 2270. The front one doesn't look right. Is it possible this is a Canadian tractor? The White name was used by the former Cockshutt dealers before Oliver and MM disappeared.

Decals not same as all 2270's. Mine has decals not individual letters. Came to conclusion it is an Oliver from Hopkins. Was repainted for sale in Canadian market. An Oliver would be a tough sell, Tractor sold originally in Winnipeg MB. It is now located 1 mile north of US border. It is for sale quite reasonably.

That tractor has the same bolt on "White" letters as my 1974 White 2270. The fact that the MM decal is painted over would make me highly suspicious that someone has repainted this tractor and added the "White" letters after the fact.

Considering the WFE emblem on the grill did not come out until after bankruptcy & was used in the 1980's, I'd say it's safe to assume the WHITE placards were also added. I looks nice, a great "what if" they were still building the A4T in 1980, would look like.
