Just bought a mm 445 lp and trying to figure out what engine size it is and year of it. Guy told me it was a 55. But can't find anything to prove it. Allrighty here is the serial number 10102927 and on the tag it says model b1 any help would be great!! Also is there any way to convert this thing to gasoline lol

Engine size should be 206 CI. Year depends on serial number. The tractor tag is located right by your right foot when you sit on the seat. The engine has its own separate tag. You can post the tractor number and someone will look it up for you, or I believe this site has a serial number breakdown. Also, tractordata.com has basic specifications and a serial number break down as well. Good luck!

10102927 says it is a 1957 as 56 only went thru 10102854. None made in 55. You should be able to replace the LP parts with a carburator and run it on gas. The heads are higher compression for LP so if you change it you will need to run premium to keep it from pinging. The engine stays cleaner if run on LP also.

Depending on where you're located, Imight trade you a gasoline Jetstar, 1962, same engine and chassis only in the utility mode, mine has working 3 point, power steering, and amplitorque. email is best

(quoted from post at 08:34:30 03/10/15) DON'T CONVERT THAT TRACTOR TO GAS!!!!! 445's on LP are few and far between.

how few and far between are we talking? I pulled this Tractor from being scraped. How hard is it to find parts?

There are no serial number records to know how maney were produced. The gas and LP were all lumped together. I've been to 4 shows a year for the last 10 years or more and you only see one only once in a while. Is yours a row crop or utility? As far as parts, that should not be a problem. What parts in particular are you concerned with?

PS: Actualy I have probably seen more UDLX's than LP 445

I have an N and an E both about 20 miles north of Abilene, Texas and need to start thinking of thinning the herd. out of over a dozen MMs one is gas, 2 are diesel and the rest are LP. shinnerytree at yahoo . com

I have a 445 Lp that was burned in a barn fire here in Minn.; but there are a number of parts that could still be used and useful should you need them.
