BG engine removal

I am in the process of fixing up a BG with my uncle. The I&T manual is very vague on engine removal. It says to remove front motor mount bolts, support engine with hoist, then remove back motor mount bolts and withdraw engine and clutch as an assembly. If I understand correctly the rear motor mount bolts are the 4 on each side through the frame rail that go into the bell housing. Half of them are studs, not bolts. Our BF has studs in it too. Should I try removing the studs to lift out the engine, or does it have to come apart in a different method? I am assuming the drive shaft just slips apart when lifting out the engine. Anyone who has worked on one of these before, please clue me in on the easiest method to do this. Thanks.

Chris, you are right. The studs would have to come out to remove motor and clutch. If you remove one rail you could get motor and clutch out. Mine had bolts to remove.
