I am looking for a moline rtn tractor, with the single front wheel. I'm looking for the style with the straight brake pedals and the non hinged hood. I would like it to be complete. The closer to Minnesota the better as that is where I'm located. Any info or leads on one is appreciated. Thanks.

Someone had told me it was 1949 and up. I have
an rtu thats a 1948 and that is still the old
style with the hinged hood. The serial number
for the rtn should start with 003.

The R series of farm tractors used the
hinged/louvered hood until mid 1949 model year. The
RTI industrial tractor introduced the one piece hood
in 1947 as it was difficult to open the hinged hood
when a large industrial loader was mounted to the
RTI.

The fixed hood appeared first on the RTI in '48 and the rest of the R line in '49. I have an early '50 serial # with that hood and the early style straight non clamshell fenders. Serial tag says it's an RTU, but it had an "N" front pedestal on it when I bought it several years ago. I also have a "U" type pedestal with rims with it as well. The tractor is for sale, but is in Colorado. It has been stored inside since I bought it, and had new rear tires on it when I acquired it. Has a new battery and with fresh gas should fire right up. No smoke.
