Za hydraulics

I am wondering if my Za has enough pressure/volume to drive a small hydraulic motor on a old bale elevator that i plan on using along with my buzz-saw for firewood. currently the radiator is out of it so i cannot test it, just wondering what you guys think.

thanks

Im betting it might not if there is much load on it. It might work for a short time but when the oil gets warm enough it might stop working. Those systems were basically designed to run a hydraulic cylinder and not much else.

thats kinda what i was afraid of. My neighbors run theirs with wd-45, but that may have a larger reservoir. guess all i can do is try.

thanks

It is worth a try. My cousins tried running a NH hydraulic motor driven side rake with a U. I guess they made almost a round and then the rake stopped turning.

I think it will run it, but will get hot! Might try a hyd cooler in front of the radiator. Or put a pipe reservoir on the front to give you more oil. Does yours have a extra water tank/bumper on the front anyway. At the dealership I worked a long time ago. We made one for every ZA-ZB we overhauled and put high compression pistons or head on.
