Happy New Year....new projects

Happy New Year to all my MM friends! Two of my new projects for 2015. 1966 Jetstar 3 Super, and the MM 3 bottom plow. But first I tore into the U302. Turns out it had stock Pistons still in it...boreing it .20 over, and having the heads gone through. Hopefully will have complete restore done late spring.

Happy New Year to you. Nice looking equipment. If you have any more pictures of either please post them. Wouldn't mind either one of those models myself.

Here are a few more pics of the Jetstar. Still working the bugs out of it. Had to rebuild the carb, put electronic ignition in it, new exauhast manifold, new seat. It's gonna need to be torn down at some point. Front cylinder plug gets soaked with oil when it's run. You know when it's running cause it smokes like a chimney. Front spindles are bent. But it runs pretty good, and the hydraulics are strong. Bought it sight unseen, and slightly disappointed in how it was represented...but then again I wanted a project.

The Jet Star 3 looks in a lot better shape than some I have seen. I think they would be a good hay tractor. I have a Schwartz loader like yours on my M5.

Interesting stuff. I would come over and see your projects if you are close to CB, Ia. I have two U-302's that don't get much attention since they work good almost all the time. Could you E-mail with a PM if that would be a possibility.

Thanks for the replies. I have been using Rubbing compound & polishing some of the sheet metal up and re-installing it and it is surprising how an old tractor gets more presentable. I picked up a good used hood for the Super U-302(loader tractor)at Stamms in Kansas and took the old broken up New Idea loader off and it looks like a different tractor now. I thought you may be(Thought I seen that shop before) just up the road but Ohio is a bit far away.Cleddy

Looks good. I have an M602 Im planning on getting running and leaving it original and clean it up the same. I think it still has the original tires on it.
