Need some advice. I'm worried that it's the hydraulic pump. Have changed couplers, filter, etc. Still have air in the system. No leaks. Advice?

There is a couple versions of hyd. systems used on S670's. Which do you have? Could be a pump issue but the filter setup has caused issues too. Dale 920 295 3278

It is a 1967 model year. As far as the difference in pumps, the only thing I know is that it is mounted on the motor (front). I really appreciate your advice. I'll have to check the filter setup over some more as well.

Are you using atf/dextron 3 type fluid?

Change the filter with a wix, I think the number is 1828. Trim the bottom felt to make it "fit correctly".

Pressure wash and degrease the thing, somewhere around 3 times.

Get a chair and watch it run while cycling a cylinder and 3 point.

Make sure you age 1" line from the resivor to the pump (through the filter) has no leaks. This is important. In most cases air won't enter the system through a lean in the pressure lines. It's most likely if you have air it's from a place where the pump draws oil from.

Check for leaks and change the fluid and filter first.
