206 -J Motor

Found a motor out of a combine that is a 206J -4. I know of no MM combine that used the overhead 206 motor. Could this have been a transplant? Possibly a power unit?

Gary, The G-144 Harvestor, used the overhead valve 206J. about the same as a 445 engine, except for combines.

Only combine to use 206 except Uni? Forgot about 144 as it was kinds an oddity. I bought motor just for scrap. Was there any differences that you know of far as power?

Yes, that should be. Service Bulletin says 1956 Production G4 were to get improved 206 ohv engine, but I believe that is when they decided to change to the G-144 number also. That said, I have seen G-4 Harvestors with 206 engines, presumable re-powered?
