When I did my gtb a few years back I remember having a hard time finding rod and main bearings. I believe the rods had to come from agco and the mains came from Howard enterprises. I want to replace them in my utu along with the head gaskets. Looking for suggestions where to get parts. Thanks

Toms agridiesel only place im aware of that still makes complete kits or any otther engine parts you can think of .they have rod and main sets for either application.

Rod and main bearings for almost all of the MM engines are still available. Both Clevite Mahle and Federal Mogul obsoleted them a few years ago.

Fortunately Federal Mogul will still make just about any tooled up engine bearing, if you say please, wait about eight months, and accept that they will only make 250 plus piece runs in one size only. We still stock almost all the MM engine bearings. The only ones not stocked are those military standard specials that I doubt there are 250 total units left.

I may be crazy enough to make gaskets, valve train parts, pistons, and such; but I hope to never even dream of making my own engine bearings. Just looking at the print gives me the shivers.
