Saw and ad in Photo Ads for a G550 priced at $60,000. I know these tractors are kind of rare but I thought 60 grand seemed a bit steep.

Yeah only if someone could of bought that one for $4500 even 20000 or whatever it was at after the bidding wars even if you would of stuck 15-20k in it and replaced every little thing to make it perfect you still woulda came out ahead.

I don't have to sell it. just wanted to see if anyone was awake.unrestored sell 20-32,000.00.if you get a chance.here is a chance.

Considering I can barley see a perfectly restored one bring $20 k I have no clue how one can get more then that.

I have seen a couple of very nicely restored ones sell in the $25,000 to $30,000 range. Original ones sell for $20,000+. In my opinion a nice original 550 is worth more than a restored one. Not a chance that tractor is worth $60,000.

when,where and who sold a couple of restored G 550 molines for 25 to 30grand ?????? unrestored ,yes.restored,no.

I will look through my archives when I am at home. In the meantime, please share when, where, and who sold a restored G550 for $60,000.

I'd like to know where these "nicely restored" ones brought only that also! With the total number that were even produced makes them worth more than that restored. The ones you know of were possibly clones?? I know of 3 original ones that sold between 25-30, so yes they are worth way more than that restored!

rp: there are just to many people that don't have a clue!!

im not trying to be a dick. I was wanting to see if it was possible to sell one for that much.most say no.A G940 sold at aumanns a couple years ago for 62,000,that is where I got that price.I have serial numbers and production numbers of these models, and know of most current owners.I know B S when I read it.

I don't think anyone was accusing you of being a dick. I certainly wasn't. It is your tractor and you are certainly entitled to ask what you want. I just don't happen to believe it is worth anywhere near that much. My opinion doesn't mean squat especially if you find someone willing to give you that much. How many of the 940's were made compared to the 550's? Just curious. How many calls have you had offering anywhere near $60,000?

Rp1555 I don't think any MM guys here think any less of you for asking $60k for your tractor. Your restoration looks great. It's what most of us try to do, or wish we could do when we restore one. Obviously if you can sell it for that price then someone thinks it's worth it....if not then you still have a nice tractor. Let's face it when anyone sells something it's easier to start high and come down then to be like the owner of the G550 with the loader that was just talked about on here where he started at like $4500 and after guys tried to buy it he opened up bidding cutting those guys who first called out.

RP will have the number on 940's, but I know there were 24 of the 550s made. I believe the 940s were about the same if not a few less.
