brown mule Uni corn head, transport help

Helping a friend who has a brown mule Uni with a 2 row head. Sitting in barn not currently running but we need to move it to friend's house a few miles to get it running. Need to get the corn head locked up for transport as it is down on concrete barn floor. Can anyone tell me as friend seems to remember the head does not use a pair of hyd cylinders to lift head, uses a hyd cylinder(like implement cyl) with an undercarriage system to raise and lower it. If a guy could get a floor jack under the head and raise it, is there a way to lock/brace it in place with factory setup, or maybe I am going to have to rig up something. When head is up, going to try to pull gently out of barn with towstrap or chain around drive axle 100 feet then go from there. Unfortunately a now cold weather project.
If it had cylinders on the head, I could take cut angle irons and use lengthways and keep head in air.
Any ideas? Just looking for some before diving in. Thanks

Mule and head look similar to this one (not actually it):

It has been 40 years since I ran one of those. I can't remember if there is a way to lock the head up. But you might take the spark plugs out and put in a good battery and whirl it over and see if the hyd. will raise it enough to move it.

I made a tee to put in the line by the cylinder with a coupler and a long hose hook it to a tractor . Lift it up and block it.

i'm pretty sure that the cylinder is the older cast iron one that has pilot operated valves in it which require pressure to make it go down. If you supply pressure from a tractor to the correct side to lift it, it should stay up after you disconnect the hose from the tractor.

It does use the MM hyd cyl. Also there is a factory link to hold it in the up position after it's taken off the tractor, it's just a small angle iron with a 90 degree welded in piece of rod on each end. I have an extra one of those. If you could give me a phone #, I could send you a picture of the link and where it attaches. Can't figure out how to put the pix on here. 847-309-7347 Thanks, John
