Austin-Western sweeper

I just purchased what I thought was a '39 ZTN front end & engine. But it turns out it is from a A-W sweeper. I noticed that the exhaust manifold & clutch was unusual. It is the first time that I have seen an oil pump housing without the filter. This is the first time I have ran into one of these. Here are some pics (I hope!)

Nice find Dennis! What are your plans for it now? Keep it around in case you find the rest of it some day? :)

Neat find. I do believe the G4 combine engines just had the oil pump and no filter as the way it was mounted, you couldn't get at the filter to change it. Interesting manifold and clutch. This picture must be a later ZA version of what you have?

Thanks for posting! Any hope of finding more of it?? Here is a pic of one I found at an auction several years ago - the guy was using it to clean the parking lot at his little apt complex...

It is quite a bit different than the one Alan just posted.

I think your right, my g4 motor doesn't have a oil filter, my motor has same manifold but the clutch is completely different. Just curious is that picture outta a brochure never seen or heard of one before. Kinda a neat unit

There was one like the one posted in Trinidad, Colorado for a few years. Finally disappeared. Was very complete. Think it was actually built in Denver.

definately nice to see those old ball machines, shame how those usually get parted out and scrapped. Heres a (I think) Jet star/335/445 style sweeper.
