Jetstar 3 with loader question

I am looking at a Jetstar 3 Super with a MM loader. Part of the reason I am looking at it is to add to the herd (U302,UB) and eventually restore it, but also as a loader tractor. I only have 11 acres and use my current loader tractor for snow, and occasional dirt/ gravel moving. I was looking for opinions on how well JS 3's work as a loader tractor. My current loader tractor is a Kioti LK2552 (26 HP diesel, gear driven, 4wd). The loader works very slow, and requires the engine be revved to get any kind of speed or pressure out of it. I know the JS 3 is a bigger tractor, and the loader will move more weight and material. One other thing is that in order to buy the JS I will have to sell the Kioti to keep my better half happy. Hoping those of you with JS 3 loader tractors can help convince me! Thanks

Don't know where you are located but there was one listed in the photo ads a while back. Was reasonably price as well, at least I thought it was. Would mind having one myself as they seem like they would be a handy loader tractor.

Hello everyone. I'm relatively new to the form. This is my first comment. The Jetstar 3 that Alan is referring to is or was located in Manitoba if I saw the same one posted in the photo ads. I was at the owners place and looked at the tractor. Ran like a top as he had just overhauled the engine. Wasn't painted but worth every penny he was asking. He did mention if it didn't sell he might part it out. Really enjoy reading the form.

Welcome. Yes I believe that was the one. Hope it gets sold complete and not parted out. If it was closer I wouldn't have minded it myself.

It didn't have a 3 point and that might have been somewhat of a drawback. His farm is about 2 hours from where I live.

I have a jet 3 with a mm loader and it is a very good loader tractor big enough to get something done yet still not too big to get around with or haul.

My Jetstar finally sold. Actually ended up giving it away. (basically) Have another I am considering selling. It is a Cockshutt 1350 with loader and it has a full motor rebuild. Crank redone as well as everything else. Of course no 3 pt.
