What's a m5 and loader worth

Local sale auction is coming up near me, they have a auction
every spring and fall, there's a m5 lp sitting there from last sale
in April that didnt sell, sale is the 11th I believe, has a oliver
loader with bale spear, has three wheel weights on rear tires,
tractor is pretty rough, didnt start it because key wasn't in it,
looks like it leaks alot of oil and hasn't been washed for ten or
more years by looks, one fender is pretty beat up, doesn't
have a grille, front axle has been broke, has pto and 3pt. Kinda
would like to buy even though its pretty rough if its cheap, what
do you guys think its worth? I was hoping it would only bring
1000 dollars or so or am I outta line, shoulda taken pictures if I
go back to sale yard I will.
 
I would say 1500-2000 for a running tractor. 500 extra for the loader. You might get it for $1000 if no one else is familiar with MM. Or somebody might see the loader and think they could do all kinds of things. I bought my M5 diesel for $800 at auction in 2000. It was missing the front tires. After replacing the missing tires, I pulled it off and it fired right off within about 50 feet. I have never touched the engine.
 
this past fall I bought an M5 gas on auction for $700. tires are all bout 50% tin work is all straight, engine is loose but not running, one of the frost plugs is pushed out. Was told by the auctioneer it was his neighbors and that nothing was wrong with other than the frost plug was pushed out. haven't gotten around to working on it yet so thats to be determined yet.
 
I gave 1000.00 for a running diesel a few years back . I wouldn't think your too far off base with what you saying for a price. Besides if your not wanting the loader you can always re sell it.
