Restore or Not

I found this in a flea market. My intention is to mount it over the people door to my shed/shop. My question is this : paint and restore or leave it like it is? both lights work.

Sorry it didn't post the picture. It is a light
assembly to a unitractor. I will continue to try
to post the picture.

I would leave as it is in original condition. The rust gives it character.

I would just give it a shot of clear coat to slow the aging because it looks great the way it is.
