G955 muffler on g1355 question

Bought a original muffler for a g955 thinking they were the same, but when I got it home I realized there's no spot for the aspirator tube, which no big deal, then I measured outlet as I knew there smaller then inlet and outlet is only 2-1/2 inches inlet was right but from what I read outlet should be 2-3/4 I think, will 2-1/2 cause too much back pressure on the motor? That's my only worry. Thanks

Im not sure. Not familiar with the mufflers on those models. The G950 I have is like the G1000 mufflers, Nearly 4" inlet and the same going out. On the 55 series style mufflers a 1/4" might not matter, if it was 1/2" maybe.

The aspirated muffler is 3-15/16 inlet, 4" outlet. The original muffler for a 585 without a factory aspirator is 2-3/4 outlet. THey came both ways. 2-150 white has an aspirator but has to have a short extension between manifold and muffler. As far as back pressure i dont think 2-1/2 is going to back it up any worse than 2-3/4 would. Oval mufflers are way more quiet too.
