Just recently purchased my first MM!! Tag on side of the gearbox reads: U 01112107. Dose this make it a 1952??

Yes, that is the tractor serial number and would be 1952. Engine serial plate is on left side of the engine and should begin with 019

If it is a single wheel front it is a UTN, if two wheel front it is a UTU
U model series
T tractor
N narrow U Universal front.
