G900 Piston

Here is what I am trying to do, Have a Buda motor from the twenties, It is originally 4 1/2 bore but is worn and has been sleeved. was hoping to bore to 4 3/8 but not enough sleeve. Piston pin is 1 1/2. Deck height is 3
inches. Trying to find oversize diesel pistons 4 1/4 60 over. Any ideas?

Scroll down to charlies reply. He says diesel pistons 1.5 pin and he has over size pistons too. You could Email him on the deck height.
Hope this helps

Gary,
Diesel is 4-3/8 bore (451 ci). Gas is 4-1/4" bore but I think pin may be smaller on gas. GVI were 425 with 4-1/4" bore and I think the pin was 1.5" like the 900/1000. Finding oversize 425 diesel pistons is almost impossible though.

Still trying to get machinist to verify best solution.Have another couple of Buda blocks, One has been cut out to 5 inches and sleeved to 4 3/4 but sleeves didn't last. The Buda block doesn't have much strength.

molinegb,
The pin diameter of a 20-0009032 diesel piston is 1.4998" to 1.500" and the compression height is 2.765". The stock bore diameter is 4.626". This is the finished bore size and not the piston diameter.

Something not right here. G900/955/1870 dieesel piston is 11B27720 which crosses up to 20-2009037. Diameter should be less than 4.375.

Sorry about that........Someone should not post from memory. I picked the wrong part number. 20-0009032 was the piston I just packed up for an order. The number got stuck in the memory hole.

The pin diameter of a 20-0009036 diesel piston is 1.4995" to 1.4996" and the compression height is 2.759" to 2.763". The stock bore diameter is 4.376" to 4.377". This is the finished bore size and not the piston diameter. This is a tricky piston as it is a "D" cam grind. It has 0.013" of oval on each side of 90 degrees from the pin.

Note that 20-0009037 is a twenty thousandths oversize piston

Found three thirty over 4 1/4 gas pistons yesterday. Today I pulled apart an old U diesel. It had been rebuilt years ago. Pulled heads off it and found all 4 1/4 .30 over pistons with a MM 10A number. Hate to scrap a U diesel but!
