If you have not read it there is an excellent articles about the development of the A4T models by Mike Verhulst in the current issue of that magazine. It does not get any better than when the chief engineer for the project writes the article!

Thanks for the heads up. Im wondering if that was the same article that was in the MM Corresponder? A LOT of good information and interesting insight.

I have not compared word-for-word, but I believe the same article. However, read the 2455 article by Gress' with caution. the made a 2455, claimed it's a flat grill like most 2455's were. All A4T-1400 and 2455 were bubble nose. I'm saddened that the author & publisher both went forward with that article, when several of us brought this lie to their attention last summer.

I have a piece of Oliver literature that introduced the 55 series tractors. On the back page are the two 2455 tractors they must have painted green for the photo shoot. One is L-P the other a diesel. The diesel is a bubble nose. The L-P is a rear view. The 2455 is located down low on the tractor and not on the hood. We sold 2 of the 1400 models, first year models with factory turbo ( M & W on the manifold), 3 point hitch & PTO both were bubble nose.

Jim, Look close at that LP tank. it says "MM" on it. Most all of the photos used in the brochures were "highly retouched" or as we say today "Photoshopped." In some cases, I've found the MM photo, that was "repainted" on paper to be an Oliver. The B&W brochure in the magazine, you can tell that the tractors are "artists renditions," but some people apparently are not aware of that.

Ive noticed a lot of photos years ago that were "touched up" for literature and manuals. Some odd looking combinations at times. Can you post any pictures of them?
