Jet Star two

Can the front axle on a Jet Star Two be reversed. I have seen these where the axle sits closere to the back wheels and it looks like they take it off and turn it around? Anyone ever seen this?

It can be done, there are 2 pieces which make it possible. I think it's a Brown Jet or Big Mo book which lists them.

I have seen pictures where it looked like it was done, I will have to get one of the books and check it out. Would be nice I have a short trailer. Thanks for the reply...

That would be on the big mo 400 and military series. But it takes two special parts to be able to flip them around 11a14949 front support and a 11a14935 rear support to do this. You can't just turn the axle around with out these two parts.

Guys I am thinking that in addition to the mounts, The sector gear inside the bolster must be turned 180 degrees on the bolster shaft as well. I do not know if it has 2 keyways or if it is a different part number.
(Or the bolster shaft must be turned 180 degrees in the sector gear, whichever way you prefer to think of it.)

The best way would be to find someone parting a Big MO 400 Military it would have all the correct parts.

Yes! That is the way it is on my spare parts 400m front axle.

When the axle is reversed, the steering column is too long. How did you deal with that?
