Finally after trying to buy this little 17-28 baby cam for 3 years it came home. Serial number is 29329. This tractor appears to be in good shape I've located several rough tractors and kept looking for one in decent shape to pair with my 27-44 at the shows. Yesterday I received the call saying to come get it it's mine. Engine is loose and magneto is still hot!! Going to get correct fenders (pictured fenders will work til paint is applied) manifold crossover is missing so will be on the lookout for 1 if there is one out there??? Manifold has been welded on but I can repair it easy enough. Any idea why the 2 1/2" spacer blocks were installed between front axle and frame?? Should be fairly simple to get running I think unlike most of my projects going on now also I'm on the lookout for drawbar dimensions and a belt pulley this cover looks like it's never been removed over the shaft thanks guys more pics and progress to come.

Cool old tractor!! Glad it found a good home!

That is an interesting question on the axle spacer blocks... I don't know the answer, but there was a 20-35 sold off the fence row near here a while back...

The poor old thing had had a hard working life and had set outside the last 35-40 years, but I noticed it also had homemade axle spacers to raise the front end. They were probably 5-7 inches...

That tractor set up tall enough to begin with, I wondered why they raised it more, too...

Just a thought on the axle blocks as I've seen a couple in our area with added blocks, I know on my standards if you belt up to a low machine I've had the belt drag the top of the front axle and maybe the block gave a little extra clearance on the belt ??? Just my thoughts.
