Bsaically means G six cylinder. No other G series after used the 4 cylinder. Molines way of introducing the new G lineup. Previous G series had both 4 and 6 cylinder.
 
The GVI was the predesessor to the tractors with the 3 digits following the G such as the 704, 705, 706, 707, 708. The GB preceded the GVI and was made in 1956-1958. The GVI came out in 1959-1962. The G705/706 was made in 1963 and 1964. The 707/708 were made in the first 6 months of 1965. In the early 70's some Oliver were painted yellow and labeled as the G550, G750, G850, and G940.
 
The Vista was made in the late 60's and basically replaced the G1000 row crop. Some changes on the Vista included a higher operator platform, and the seat was moved forward to accommodate the rear fuel tank.
