questions on 1968 g950

Looking at purchasing a 1968 G950 can you guys give me any pros and cons on this model never dealt with this size of MM.
Also the tractor appears to be in fairly good condition I have not seen it in person yet and I'm told it runs strong what is a fair price on it ?

I like mine, but prefer the 1050 a bit more. Power steering belt is pretty small and tends to slip when loaded hard. Not great on fuel. Hate the bubble nose on either one. I've got the 2sp amplitorque and believe the three spd would be an improvement for the extra "gears". Parts for the 3spd I've heard are pretty scarce. Hydraulic oil can get pretty warm and a fellow employee whose grandfather/father owned an MM dealership would install a small oil cooler on the hydraulic pump case drain which worked well. I seldom/never use it on 90+ degree F days so haven't made the upgrade. Parts to rebuild the steering valve are tough to find. Mine wasn't real bad but decided to rebuild it anyway and ended up buying a NOS valve for $1500. Not a welcome surprise, but it sure doesn't require frequent correction anymore when roading.

Do you have any info on the hydraulic cooler you mentioned? Ive seen some which I believe were factory ones on some of the 50 series, but my 1971 G950 doesn't have one which is surprising.

Between $4000 in poor condition to $8000 in good condition. That seems to be where most of the G900-G955s are. Can you email me a picture or post a picture of it?

The only picture that I have is the one that the seller posted on tractor house http://www.external_link.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=8825533 . I am thinking that I will go look at in the flesh this weekend and I can then post a few more detailed pics. But here are of the things the seller has told me. The hyd. pump has be rebuilt, he has owned the tractor since about 76', the only leak is around the pto and its is small, the hours are around 3300 and it uses no oil, back glass has been broke out and is now plexiglass, it does have a cab and the fan works, it also has a new front axle, radiator has been redone, it has 1000 injectors and he says it's 119HP the back rubber is around 20%, and it has been shed kept. overall he says it runs good. sorry for the long post and hopefully this helps narrow a price range and thanks for the input.

Sorry I'm so late getting back, haven't been on the computer. He said they used aftermarket automobile transmission coolers, installed in front of the radiator and I assume they were a circle type. Just be sure they aren't restrictive so that backpressure is too high and you blow a pump seal. But the case drain flow should be so small that shouldn't be a concern.
