My friend Robert recently finished up his UB MM...I found it for him in August 2013 sitting in a river bottom about 30 miles away....Several times flood water had been half way up on it but never got in the engine..
The 705 blocks had deck plates under them with different rods plus it had been bored .060 so was 336 cubes plus...It should be pretty strong...All it needed was rings and a valve job as the bearings were OK...The shifter lever was broken off and the front pedestal was split open...Some new axle and brake seals were installed...Several trips to Welters fixed things..
Robert was a JD and AC man but I and a friend talked him in to getting several MM's and he now has 3 restored ones (UB,U,ZA) and 3 more to restore...The first picture shows it in the river bottom and the last two pictures were taken yesterday..
