M602 clutch pedal

All are the clutch pedals twice the size of the brake pedals? Customer brought over a 602 for me to fix some leaks and he had me sit on it and showed me how big/tall the clutch pedal is. Was thinking my grandpa bought a 602 and couldn't keep a clutch in it if memory is right, so did MM install a heavier clutch and then couldn't push the small pedal in, just a thought. Asked my uncle about the tractor his dad had and theirs wasn't around long and was traded on a 4020 jd. chris

The clutch pedal has always been bigger than brake pedals as far as I know, all the way up until the M670 Supers, then they were the same size as the platforms were raised. Not sure about the regular M670s. The 4 Star, M5 M602s as well as the M670 Supers all used the same one if I remember correctly. The clutches in the M670s are the same as what is used in the G900-G950s. One guy told me they are the same as what is used in an M Farmall. That isn't a lot of clutch for almost a 100hp tractor.

I always thought the clutch pedal was too far back or high on the M5 and 602. Seems like your knee is getting close to your nose when you put your foot on the pedal.

I agree there. It was an improvement over the 5 Star but better suited on the 670 Supers. More natural direction of travel.
