I haven't been able to break the cylinders loose from the crankcase on a 206L-4 engine. It has two stuck pistons so I'm trying to remove the cylinders. The heads have been removed and all the connecting rods have been disconnected from the crankshaft. The three bolts on the manifold side of each cylinder have been removed. I've tried prying them off and firm blows with a block of wood and a five pound hammer with no luck. The engine is in a Big Mo 500 so the loader is in the way which makes it a little hard to get at things.
I'm thinking of rigging a tripod with a come-a-along to pull straight up on the cylinders. Would a little heat applied to the base of the cylinders help loosen things up?
Any suggestions or tips would be most appreciated!
Thanks!
