Yellow American 60

was at an auction north of granite falls on Tuesday and there was this White American 60, sold for $12,500 musta stayed close by. I watched the fella who bought it drive down the driveway and didn't see it get loaded on a trailer.

tach showed around 2500 hrs. i didn't look over it real well all i really noticed was the balls for the 3 pt missing.

That was a good deal, the balls for the 3 pt are put in side ways and then turned, you have to take them out when not being used. That is how our 2-155 is anyway. Thanks for the picture and price, I have only seen one other one like that.

The 60 went to Hancock. I think that tractor was originally a chore tractor at a dairy nearby, it had a lot of scratches. Owner was hoping for a better price. I got the '40 UTU and the '38 MTA, I hauled them home today. Brian

I never saw any advertisement of this tractor- regardless of that, the Hancock buyer pry was locked in on buying it for quite a bit more than what was given. Was this a consignment sale?

Not a consignment, a collector cutting back/moving to town/farm sale. The buyer is a big MM collector, I had a long talk with him, real nice guy. I am not sure if he bought it for himself or for someone else. I thought the bidding was real slow for it, they had "internet bidding" for that too. They had a variety of other tractors too, mostly projects, $400-800, a couple of JDs in pieces brought 13-1500, if anything ran it brought a little more. That CASE cross motor in the picture brought $9000.
