Still have to do some buffing and waxing yet. Got all the fluids and filters changed, new seat, and some other misc parts replaced.

Nice looking rig. Is that original white paint on the hood yet? It seems like the white paint, or maybe the painting process, MM and Oliver used in the mid 1960s on up usually didn't hold up well. Even being an Oliver I wouldn't mind one of them myself.

Well Alan it wasn't so much the paint as it was the process they skimped on from the lack of using a good primer/any primer at all. But then again they didn't expect You and I and a bunch more of us to view them as a farmers old show car either. LOL :)

Nice looking G850- was this the one on tractorhouse in Illinois? I just bought one too, in the process of getting it looking better as well- mine has a layer of green paint to tackle though!

I always wondered about that. Almost all of them have rusty hoods rather than paint. (almost done scooping snow lol... ;)

Yes, this was the one. The dealer is only 30 miles southeast of us. I do some parts business there as well, McCullough was a longtime AC/Gleaner dealer. The tractor was actually a consignment from a guy about 40 miles straight west of us. They had it for a long time but didn't use it much anymore and he said they had to many tractors not being used. He also consigned a nice 2-135 with a 5.9 Cummins conversion.

Yeah Alan as far as I can tell it's still original paint. But I do know what you mean about the white rusting through. Make any progress on the G950 wf mount? Let me know if you need any more photos or measurements, I still have the first ones I sent you.

Well I hope so Alan! I hope you can make it to Rice lake WI. next weekend. Wife and I will be there with a display and hope ya come by and say hello.

Very nice!

I tried to buy the same tractor from the guys who owned it but they were wanting alot more than was listed for this time. Ive actually sat in the seat and drove it around some in the past year. Tractor came form about 4 miles north of my house. If I recall there was an issue with the engine missing a little, sounded like it just needed a good tuning up and a carb rebuild is all when i drove it awhile ago tho. Did they sell without the loader?

I pulled the loader off monday. I did tune it up, have the carb kit to do yet. Part of the problem was the choke cable hanging up. I need to clean out the little bit of old gas that's left in the tank. So are you near the Streator area? I was thinking you were farther southwest.

Brad

Unfortunately I wont make it to WI. so I will have to say "hello" here. If you are planning on coming to the MM show in MN in August, I plan on having a booth there and you are welcome to stop and say hello as well.
