Thinking of trying to put together one of these for a puller. Looking at the 585 diesel. How light has anyone gotten one of these down to easily for pulling. Thanks.

I don't know how light you can get them there a pretty heavy tractor, but if it were me I'd never think of turning one into a puller, the g1350 is very hard to find let alone making one into a puller and a g1355 isn't quiet as rare but there still isn't a whole lot of them out there. If it were me I wouldn't spend money on one to wreck it from being a farm tractor, but its your money and I can't tell you what to do, but I know there not making more once there gone there gone.

Im not sure you can lose much weight on those. I have to agree, there are so few of those out there I would hate to see one made into a puller. I would love to have one to use.

Please don't ruin another tractor by turning it into a pulling tractor. I'd love to have one of those models to use on our farm to make my living, please!!!

That 585 diesel will bolt to a G900 or G1000 which would be lighter. And once again, please don't ruin a good 1350 or 1355.

Well maybe I'll have to sell one of mine. Seeing they are so rare I'll have to ask big bucks for it and keep the 585 for pulling. Why do everyone thinks a pulling tractor is ruined? It's farmstock classes. Only taking things off to make weight. Not ruin the tractor people. But I'm open to offers over $10000 then. Start with the offers.

It's worth 10,000 if nice just bought a g1355 for that last fall, post some pictures if you will and where is it located, I also wouldn't keep the 585 for a pulling motor as it will be one less 585 which are getting hard to find and more than likely it will throw the crank out the side of the block if you get to wild with that motor have talked to guys that have had it happen, post pictures is yours a 1355 or 1350. But as I said please post pictures and a location would like to see it don't know if I'm to interested as I don't quiet have my 1355 finshed yet as it should of been done this last winter kinda been a delayed project.

I had a friend in Texas that pulled his stock G1355 a couple times. I think he was weighing about 11000. I have a pulled a "rare" tractor before also

Yeah I will probebly pull my g1355 once or twice when
restored but I'm just gonna go to a antique tractor pull and not
turn it up or take anything off just go and have fun with it after
Fourth of July parade, sure it'll show up my cousins stock d21 which he always pulls and says how big and bad it is but I don't think its nothing to big.

I was kinda being sarcastic. I have 3 g1000's vistas, wheatland, g1350,g1355,g705, a g900 standard and a gvi. So no I'm not going to sell. But if I get over 10,000 for a non running tractor then I'll go right ahead. I know what Moline's are worth and the rare of certain ones. All I was asking was how light have anyone seen them. Not for other insight and to say I'm going to ruin my rare tractors.

We have a 2155 Oliver (g1350) down to 10,000lbs. It has a narrow front under it and tin rears. All the hydraulics are remove also. You can loose 2000 lbs by getting rid of the cast rear centers alone. There are only about 210 G-1350 in Oliver colors as a 2155.

That is what everyone means about ruining them, I think it's stupid to lose weight I pulled my Oliver Super 88 in 6500 lb class, if I did strip it I could get it down to 3500 probably but I would have to remove and plate over every option on the tractor and turn it from a tractor to a pulling machine. Why drop to 3500lb and pull against H's and 77's. Whats the accomplishment in that?
