U302 Perronix Ignition (electric ignition)

Hey guys, my uncle is putting an electric ignition in his U 302. I think it's a petronix brand. He is having a hard time getting the rotor to fit properly after installing the supplied sleeve onto the dist shaft.

Has anyone installed any or ran into these problems. He would like to someone who is knowledgeable with these.

I have installed several of these: M670, ZA, AC 190, D15, WD45,
IH 140 and M. usually the magnetic pickup sleeve just slides on
the shaft. is the piece upside down? is there rust on the shaft?
once or twice I had to get the shaft very clean for the piece to
seat. once seated the rotor should fit as usual.

did he purchase the high energy coil as well? I have had great
success with these updates. real difference in winter starting.

Been several years since I installed on my 4star. I recall having to
modify the dust cover under the rotor.
