What is the appropriate filter to use with the adapters purchased from Charlie at Moline Parts, for the Z model tractor??

mmdel,
Many thanks for answering for me. I normally include the proper filter numbers with every sales receipt. I hope I did not skip one.

farmer12585,
You can use any classic Chevy filter, with the #60A23 R&Z adapter. As long as the GM filter used has a 13/16"-16 thread and the filter does not have one of those nasty anti-drain back valves. This includes NAPA #1061, #1069, #1794, or anything similar. All Minneapolis-Moline, and Twin City, engines flow the filter oil from the outside to the inside. This is the direction Purolator chose when they invented the engine oil filter. General Motors engines flow the filter oil from the center, out. The "anti-drain back valve" will not allow flow through the filter.
Happy Motoring.

Some how I started using Wix #1060 filter on a R . Have done that for several yrs, seems to be working OK. What is the difference between a 1060 and a 1061 filter? Hope someone can get me 'lined out' on this. Thanks in advance. clint

oleclint, maybe Charlie will chime in on this but per Wix's website, it looks like the 1060 has an anti drain back valve and the 1061 doesn't. I have been using the 21069 which is the Napa proselect version of the 1069 which is literality dirt cheap.I can't not distinguish the difference of the 1061 and 1069 specs looks the same to me.
