G900 Dual wheels.

Looking to possibly add some dual wheels to my G900, depending on how it pulls my disc.
What are the best options for this, it has taperlock wheels, and I think you need cones to run axle mount duals.

You would be correct about the dual cones. Those would have been the factory option for running 9 bolt duals. The cone bolts on where wheel weights would. I have a set on a G900 with taperlocks. It is possible to get them set for 30" rows . These cones it seems are hard to find. At least around here that is the case. I have seen a couple tractors with a hub clamped to the axle but that gets to be very very tight. The simplest and probably easiest solution would be band duals. They would definitely be easy to find. There are usually a few pairs on craigslist. G900s do look cool with duals.

My G1050 with taperlock wheels has cones and 9 bolt wheels. The problem is if you don't have the cones they are hard to find and expensive. The last couple of sets I've seen sell at auction went for $500 to $600 a set.

Dad had M&W hubs on his G900, but it has the older two-piece hubs, which leaves a little room on the end of the axle. The taper lock hub castings have so much of an outward dish that there is no axle left to mount a hub to. I really don't understand why they designed them this way myself, especially considering the fact that MM did not offer long axles.

I think I have a set of MM dual cones at the farm in Central MN. If anyone is interested send me an e-mail and I will check to see if they are still there.
