Just got a 21xx hour 1 family owned g1355 diesel brought home yesterday stopped using it 5 years ago due to water in oil. Heads have been rebuilt sometime in its life so I'm hoping water pump kit??? If that isn't it I'll go deeper. Very straight tractor with new tires. Is there anyone making new or have a good original fiberglass grill? Mine is mostly there but is broke and has few pieces missing. I'll post some pictures later today. Thank you

Post pictures, internal or external pump? Say MM or White or
front? Open station or cab? These are my favorite tractors,
and if its not to rude how much did you have to give, I'm
thinking of buying a 2-150 that's been sitting by me also for
3500, but gotta get my g1355 finished, spring slowed down
working on it.

Owner was very helpful, he told me that in the 80's he cracked a head running it hot so it had 3 new heads installed, then in 07 waterpump started to put oil into the crankcase and after he put $2400 into the hydraulic pump he decided to park it. He has given me every receipt since new and they really took care of the old girl. New tires all around that he said don't have 200 hrs on them. Tractor is HEAVY!!!!! has inside and outside weights and fluid. The first problem is the tractor has old BIODIESEL!!!! Everything is like thick peanut butter.. so removed fuel tank and going through the whole fuel system first. then waterpump kit to see if that is the problem. And I think I got a decent deal I gave $1500 for the tractor did I do alright? any help is more than appreciated.

Cracked head tel me the original problem still exists! The 585 performs best if it runs hot but not don't overheat. Sounds like poor maintenance caused the issue. Check radiator. Heads probably cracked again. 1500$ is good price if motor still good otherwise you are looking at a 8-10K motor job. Paid 2500$ for mine a few years back but it had 2700 total hours and 800 on rebuilt motor.

Well if you wanna break even I'd give you 1500 lol, yes you gotta very good deal, don't know what you mean though on inside and outside weights, don't think you could put rear wheel weights on the 1355 that I'm aware of, they have a cast center piece in the inside, but don't see what your talking about on outside, can't tell does that one have battery box cover? I got one for mine. Looks good rather than that, can you post of the rear, just wanna see how fuel tank fenders are set, on outside or inside holes. Mine will look similar when done but new paint and 42" rubber and I will have about $30,000 in mine, got more expensive than I expected.

I'm thinking about a rops or canopy for this one are there any for sale?

There is a company that makes them for oliver/cockshutt,
which would be the same since it has a 2255 rear end, they
have a website I've looked at before but don't remember the
name, they look the exact same as the originals

1500 is a good deal. I never happen to be lucky enough to stumble across one of them in my neck of the woods...

ive got one in the shop that's for sale the owner says sell it g-1355 yellow 18.4x38 new 1543 hrs sheet metal is straight as an arrow just needs a fresh paint job 3pt was never used on this tractor new pto seals hydraul had an issue so tractor was split to fix it. clutch was removed and cleaned , old owner loved a grease gun and had grease on everything in clutch area , has cab and has all open station parts with it , runs like a clock 414 379 8485 terry

IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!! Cleaned the entire fuel system over last week or so and on a temporary fuel tank got the system bled of air and she fired right up and purrs like a big kitten. i have discovered that my check valve in the small fitting on top of the injection pump is bad as if that fitting is on and the injection return line is on it the tractor will run for 10 seconds or so them die after several ideas i discovered if that small check valve is removed the tractor runs like it should but fuel is pumped out of the top is this normal? im not a professional injection pump man so im asking for any help? Now im going to install my new waterpump kit and see if that will solve the problem of water in the oil, if not im thinking head or head gasket? i hope nothing major as this tractor runs soooooo well. I went to move the tractor and the clutch is stuck any ideas as to how to get the big girl loose? thanks for the help so far and here is a picture of the rear fender placement..
