I know this is a rookie question, but I am running out of guesses....

Newly overhauled gas 445. Valves set according to the book. Timing set so it starts and runs (by ear). Carb rebuilt and set according to book. Is getting fuel.

Rev's up slowing, but gets up to RPM, but doesn't have any power!

Any ideas? Thanks!

Governor linkage adjustment or binding somewhere or springs too weak. Gov. adjustment very critical on M-M. How much compression? Low compression will cause an engine to be "sluggish".
