335 Hood Latch

Looking for a hood latch for a 335 Moline. I need the striker, the part that goes in the hood. I have the part that attaches to the cross section. Thanks

The piece that goes in the hood is a flat piece of 16 ga or heavier with 1/2" tabs bent down on both sides and the front. These tabs are to be welded to the hood. The part that fits into the latch is a carridge bolt with a nut both above and below the piece welded to the hood. I think the bolt is 3/8 but would have to look to be sure. It will be very dificult to find the piece that is welded in the hood since to my knowledge it was never available separately.

Don"t give up hope. I know for a fact that If you can"t find one, they can be made and welded into the hood. I made a similar one for my Big MO 400. It is thicker than 16 ga. closer to 3/32 thick.

I am also thinking the carriage bolt was 3/8", but its been a while.
