M670 Three Speed Questions

I'm wondering over from the Oliver board so please excuse my ignorance....

On an M670 with the three speed, do any of the gears freewheel like the Oliver three speed does in low range? What years was the three speed offered and what is the serial number range?

The 3 speed amplitorc was available around 1970 on the G1350, G1050, G950, G1000 Vista, and M670 super. There is not a serial # range for the 3 speed TA's. The Floyd county historical museum could tell you how many of each tractor had this rare option. I would suspect that the tractor's freewheel in low range. That's what they do with the 2 speed TA. Email me with any more questions.

According to my parts books supplement C the 3 speed ampli torc was available after these serial numbers;

M670: 29904730 gas & lp ; 30002735 diesel
G1000 Vista: 34500441 lp; 34601436 diesel
I don't have supplement C for G900 but it would be later than the supplement B serial numbers:
33000551 gas; 33101377 diesel

According to the 1971 serial number memo these are all during the 1969 production run.

Thanks, guys.

So, I assume that a tractor could be ordered with either the two or three speed? In other words, just because it's a 1970 model, the amplitorq may not be a 3 speed version?

There were less than 100 diesels and a little over 100 gas & lp combined 3spd amplitorc M670 produced.
