MM R PTO

New at this tractor fixing stuff. Rebuilt motor on MM R it runs good but PTO won"t engage. Shaft spins by hand but lever to engage won"t move very much . Also hyd.won"t work. Are pumps hard to find? Can they be rebuilt?

What hydraulic pump do you have? Is it one that runs off the camshaft gear (front of side cover) or off of the camshaft lobes (side of side cover)? The common ones run off of the gear and they shouldn't be too hard to find. I believe the R and ZA /ZB series used the same one. They do show up on ebay now an then as well.

Lever for PTO just slides a gear in and out. Probably just gummed up.
