This is a digital picture of a 35mm photo I took of one of the first A4T-1600 prototype units built by MM engineering. This was used in winter testing in Buckeye, Az. in 1970. I drove this tractor out there in the field and I haven"t driven one since!!!

Thank you for posting. Those are some neat pictures. I have sat on one without a cab. You really seem to be "out there" on them without it. Of course it was the only 4wd Ive sat on that way. Any more pictures?

Thanks for the pictures. I see it was a diesel, so did it have a prototype 585 engine or was it some version of a 504? I would like to talk to you. I have been to Buckeye several times. Neat farm country. We sold 2 of the turbocharged A4T-1400 models before the 1600 diesel was available. I remember the first time I tried to back a semi-mounted plow with one. J.

As I recall, this tractor did not have a PTO, but it is 40+ years ago. It did have the D585 engine, a sweet running machine at the time.

About a year ago, I had a call from a man who had purchased the remains of what turned out to be this very same tractor. He has since restored it.
