I have been doing some catching up here on the forum and saw the A4T posts and found them interesting. As for the 2455's everything I have been told says that there was only one called out in the records as coming off as a 2455. I has also heard that it was used for picture purposes and then repainted red to fill an MM 1400 order. It is neat to hear that possibly one more was made for the CA Oliver show. Wonder if there are any pictures out there of that show.
As far as real ones I have seen pictures of 2 that are assumed to be fakes. One is the bubble nose that was posted in the other posts. The other is an open stating flat nose that is an obvious mock up.
As far as advertizing and literature pictures go, even alot of them seem to be airbrushed "doctored" photo's. In all the research I have done myself on these tractors it is neat to see what pictures they doctored up to make the Oliver literature. This Oliver literature also shows 3 possible decal schemes.
This is the believed fake, looks nice though
This one was done up on purpose from what I have been told. Also looks nice.
This is the back of an Oliver brochure that show what is believed to be a the real 2455 produced for pictures
Blown up pic, This is decal variation #1. Also notice the grill is different from the MM's. This is the grill from the Plainsmans.
