installation of rod cap retainers

It"s been awhile since I removed the rods on my ZA. Can someone remind my the sequence and orientation of installing the rod cap bolt retaining washers and cotter pins?

Its been a while, but best I remember:

You torque your rod bolts to spec.

Then you put the retainers on the heads. Turn the bolt slightly tighter, if you have to to make the retainer fit the bolt head and index on the cap.

The legs on the retainers go up toward the cap and should fit into notches on it.(It seems like there was one engine where they would not fit like that for some reason.)

Then put the cotter pin in to hold the retainer in place.
